WYSA and NUSC Announcement
NUSC Friends and Families,
The Board of Directors of NUSC is committed to providing the best experience and training for the soccer youth of Noblesville. We are a strong, independent club that has an extremely competitive recreation and travel program to offer our members. The Board is compelled to evaluate every opportunity to grow and develop our club in the best interest of our children and members. This past summer, we were approached by Hoosier FC (HFC) regarding a possible merger of our two clubs to create one club for Noblesville. While our conversation did not reach an agreement, we wish nothing but the best to Hoosier FC, its players, coaches and families and look forward to continued competition on the field.
We feel it is vital our members are provided every opportunity to receive any pertinent information regarding such conversations and plans for growth. To that end, Westfield Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) has also approached NUSC on the potential benefits and possibilities of a partnership with the travel programs of our two clubs. Discussions between both the Board for WYSA and NUSC began in early September. Although we are in the extremely early stages, both Boards are focused on the opportunities for better player development programs and the increased ability to keep rising costs down.
WYSA and NUSC representatives will investigate the potential to consolidate certain services, add innovative, new ones and provide additional programs, all while keeping costs down and creating better soccer programs. We also expect more teams will be created at all levels and there will be more opportunities for children to play soccer at a high level.
Listed below are several reasons we feel a partnership between our clubs could have a positive effect for the organization, players and parents.
· Both clubs have a history of having good, community-based programs that are successful
· Each has strong recreational and travel programs
· Both clubs are financially strong
· The clubs are close in geographical proximity
· Similar culture exists for both areas
· Both clubs have similar ideas of what soccer will look like in the future for our local areas
· Each club wants to provide significant player development programs while maintaining fiscal responsibility
We will continue to meet and discuss the potential for a partnership and as more information becomes available, we will provide our membership with updates. In the meantime, the Board of Directors of NUSC would like to hear from our membership. We encourage you to provide any suggestions to feedback@noblesvilleunited.com.
